Slice of heaven and paradise

Two illustrations created for a travel magazine mockup. The artwork was drawn at A3 300dpi in my usual paint and pencil style.

The contrasting holiday destinations - tropical beach and ski chalet - are imagined as slices of cake and so gives the viewer a connection to the familiarity of a holiday destination and the satisfying experience of food via the metaphor of ‘enjoying a slice of heaven’ and ‘having your cake and eating it too’. The best of everything on offer!
