This poster is something a bit more personal for me as I’m the actor who played the bathroom cop in the scene that provides the silhouette for this composition. This is the first time in the film that a cop turns into Smith and the nature of reality - and the catalysts that drive the story - is questioned.

They’re in the walls...

Symbolically, the cop pierces the placenta (the wall) which sees Morpheus born into the material construct. In this composition I’ve depicted the key characters as they appear in the simulation, having materialised from the darkness and uncertainty beyond the veil of the Matrix.
